4N5D ( Houseboat stay on first day)
- Arrive in Srinagar; check in to a houseboat on Dal Lake or a lakeside hotel, unwind
- Visit Jamia Masjid, in the old city (Now hatta): built in the early 15th century, quadrangular layout, hundreds of wooden Deodar pillars supporting a broad roof, peaceful courtyard with fountain for ablutions, calm ambience despite being in the hustle of the old city.
- Explore nearby old city alleys; see shops with local crafts, spices, shawls; soak in the atmosphere around the mosque.
- Move to the Mughal Gardens:
- Shalimar Bagh: built by Jahangir in 1619. Terraced lawns, water channels, fountains, ancient Chinar trees. “Diwan-e-Aam / Diwan-e-Khas” etc in its layout.
- Nishat Bagh: built 1633 by Asif Khan. Twelve terraces climbing from Dal Lake with water flowing terrace-to-terrace. Views of lake & Zabarwan mountains behind.
- Have a relaxed Shikara ride on Dal Lake in the evening, enjoying the floating world, reflections, changing light.
- Travel to Gulmarg (about 50-51 km, ~1.5-2 hrs). The drive goes through Tangmarg,
forests, quick glimpses of mountains. - Reach the Gondola / Cable Car; ride to Apharwat. At higher altitudes, snowfields,
sweeping glacier views if weather allows.
with views of the water and mountains. our representative will be there to greet you. - Walk in meadows, perhaps small hikes; maybe visit St. Mary’s Church (a colonial-era
church in Gulmarg). - Optionally, visit the Gulmarg Golf Course (if open)—one of the highest green golf
courses in the world. In winter it becomes snowy. - Return to Srinagar in the evening
- Drive towards Sonmarg; as you go, scenery opens up more: mountain passes, valleys, rivers.
- At Sonmarg, trek or ride to Thajiwas Glacier. Snow-touched landscapes (depending on season), icy streams, dramatic peaks visible.
- Relax in meadows, enjoy views, take photo stops; soak in fresh air.
- Return to Srinagar for rest.
- Drive to Pahalgam, following the Lidder River. Forests, small villages, riverbanks, lush green surroundings.
- Visit Betaab Valley (meadows, ridges, perhaps cascading streams), maybe Aru Valley as well as Chandhanwari if time allows (quieter, more nature).
- If interested, short walks/horse rides; see local life; possibly fresh river trout if offered locally.
- Return to Srinagar (or stay in Pahalgam if you prefer not to travel back in evening).
- Use remaining time in Srinagar to revisit favourite spots, stroll in gardens (if you missed any like Chashme Shahi / Pari Mahal), or walk along Dal Lake shores.
- Explore markets: Lal Chowk, the old bazaar, artisan shops (Pashmina, papier-maché, dry fruits).
- Transfer to airport for departure.
